Shura

Shura (修羅), also known as 'Bloodshed,' is a bonus character in Soulcalibur IV, designed by guest artist Hiroya Oku. Her weapons are twin katanas named Raijin-Maru and Fujin-Maru. She also carries two wakizashi swords, though she does not use them. Like other bonus characters, her moveset is recycled from a main character, specifically Cervantes. Shura’s soul is filled with hate. Originally a killer who never found satisfaction, she started hunting evil spirits for a challenge. After slaying many, she became possessed by one, but continued her violent lifestyle until she was called “Shura,” meaning “Bloodshed.” The possessing spirit sought a powerful body to return from the dead, while Shura craved a worthy opponent. They merged into an even stronger warrior. The spirit still seeks a perfect body, and Shura seeks someone strong enough to satisfy her bloodlust. In the game, Shura is known for her sadistic and sinister personality, often teasing and goading her opponents before defeating them.
