Azwel

Azwel (アズウェル) is a major antagonist in the Soulcalibur series, debuting in Soulcalibur VI. He is a new character in the rebooted timeline, serving as the main antagonist of the Libra of Soul story mode and nicknamed "Leader of Humanity." Azwel is a scholar of extraordinary intelligence with expertise in history, medicine, war, and art. His research led him to believe that humanity would destroy itself through conflict. Driven by a warped sense of love for humanity, he devised a plan to save them from self-destruction. He wields a device called Palindrome, which allows him to summon various weapons, including dual swords, a giant axe, and a spear and shield. Azwel is a cunning and charismatic genius, outwardly portraying himself as a messiah but internally is a cruel, spiteful, and sociopathic sadist. His idea of 'love' is actually psychological and emotional manipulation of his victims.
