Juufuutei Raden is a Japanese-speaking Virtual YouTuber affiliated with hololive DEV_IS. She debuted in 2023 as part of ReGLOSS alongside Hiodoshi Ao, Otonose Kanade, Ichijou Ririka, and Todoroki Hajime. She is perhaps best known internationally for her Maitake Dance YouTube short, which became a popular meme in 2024. Raden describes herself as a "grandma's girl" who embraces both tradition and innovation, and harbors big dreams in the world of Rakugo (traditional Japanese storytelling). She loves arts and culture of all kinds—new and old, Eastern and Western. She often visits museums, leading to frequent penny-pinching, which she insists is not due to her frequent purchases of alcohol. Since encountering Rakugo, she has come to enjoy public speaking more than ever, and is fervently writing up her own skits.
On December 24, 2024, Raden reached 1,000,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, making her the first Hololive DEV_IS member to reach this milestone. She has also released many original songs on YouTube, including the "Maitake Dance", "Eringi Dance", and "Shiitake Dance" as part of her "Mushroom Dance" series.
